Medical spas are specially licensed to offer esthetic and non-surgical medical treatments. While all medical spas must adhere to strict regulations regarding operations, not all medical spas are operated the same way. Texas requires that medical procedures be supervised by a physician, but not that a physician own the spa. Because of this, the vast majority of medical spas are not owned by medical professionals.

Harmony Aesthetics is one of the few medical spas in Houston that is owned and operated by a licensed physician. This means that every business decision, expansion idea, and service we offer is considered from the lens of medical benefit and overall health. Our physician has your best interests at heart, and she is dedicated to crafting a medical spa experience that addresses all aspects of your health and wellness.

With the increase in popularity and availability of GLP-1 medications like semaglutide and tirzepatide, more patients than ever have access to life-changing weight loss. But not all weight loss is good. With these medications comes sometimes very intense appetite control, resulting in a drastic reduction in calorie intake past what is healthy or advisable. With this reduction comes muscle loss along with-and sometimes in place of-fat loss. While some may be okay with this muscle loss and the reduction in overall weight it brings, we know that muscle loss is a severe problem that results in a lower daily calorie burn, which can negatively effect future weight loss. It can also result in poor balance, overall weakness, injury, and frailty.

We strive to prevent any muscle loss in our patients, and monitor muscle mass weekly on our InBody machine. We encourage all of our patients to eat a high protein diet to prevent muscle loss and promote fat loss. Any observed loss in muscle mass will prevent an increase in dosage as per our physician.

WHAT MAKES THIS MED SPA DIFFERENT?

The services we offer, the prices we set, and everything we recommend reflects the values we have regarding individual health. We are dedicated to helping you become the best, healthiest version of yourself, and we will always put your health first.

WHAT IS PRP?

This is a question we see a lot, and for good reason! PRP is not a common term, and we’re happy to explain! “PRP” stands for “platelet-rich plasma,” which is the liquid part of your blood that contains platelets, or the healing factors of the blood. When your blood is drawn and spun down in a centrifuge, the red blood cells are separated from the liquid plasma. This platelet-rich plasma is then drawn up with a syringe and used in our microneedling and hair restoration treatments. It is believed that the presence of growth factors in the platelets encourages healing and cell growth.

CAN I BUY MULTIPLE SHOTS AND TAKE THEM HOME?

While other med spas and medical offices may allow their patients to pick up a month or two of shots and take them home to administer to themselves, we are unable to accommodate this. Our physician has recognized that muscle loss is a serious and very common side effect of weight loss injections, Because of this, she requires that all patients receiving weight loss injections with us to monitor their muscle mass on our InBody machine. Certain exceptions, like travelling, may allow a patient to purchase an extra shot to take home, but this is generally the only exception.

DO YOU HAVE MULTIPLE LOCATIONS?

We do! Spring is our main location, and we offer the broadest range of services there. We do weight loss injections at our Kingwood location, and we have partnered with our sister spa, Luxe Beauty & Wellness, to offer weight loss injections and aesthetic services at our Woodlands office in Creekside.

DO YOU HAVE ANY SPECIALS RIGHT NOW?

We usually run a few specials, and you can check in at the spa or on our Current Specials page for the details However you’ll get the most value out of our spa with one of our memberships! Members always get a discount on spa services, and get a percentage off of either supplements or skincare!

DO YOU HAVE HYDRAFACIAL?

“HydraFacial” is the brand name for a machine that offers hydrodermabrasion–a new method of exfoliation that involves vacuuming out the pores while simultaneously infusing the skin with active ingredients that hydrate and plump the skin. While we do not carry the brand name HydraFacial, we do offer hydrodermabrasion with the Glownar HydroSoline machine at our Creekside location.
