One of the leading causes of acne is excess sebum production by overactive sebaceous glands. AviClear targets and suppresses these glands to eliminate acne at the source. This also leads to more balanced oil production in the future.

Because of the nature of this treatment, it doesn’t have the same exclusions as a system-wide acne treatment. Therefore, almost anyone is a good candidate for AviClear. Those that are pregnant, have rosacea, or have skin cancer are not good candidates..

AviClear is equipped with AviCool sapphire skin cooling and smart sensors that monitor skin temperature throughout the treatment to keep you safe. The laser has been described as feeling like a rubber band snap. Most everyone tolerates the treatment just fine, but never be afraid to ask for a break if you need it. 

You may have some redness and sensitivity similar to a sunburn for a day or two after your treatment. As the skin purges, you may also experience temporary acne flare ups. This is completely normal. Remember to follow the skincare plan the esthetician has given you, and follow up each AviClear treatment with a complementary Laser Genesis treatment one week post treatment.

Every AviClear package contains three AviClear treatments. This is the minimum required to see lasting and significant results. If you need additional treatments, you can set up a consultation a few months after your third treatment for our  esthetician to assess your
progress.

Many people begin to see improvement after the first session, but final results can be seen up to 12 months after the final treatment.
