The Orgasm shot (O-shot) uses platelet-rich plasms (PRP) from your own blood to increase cell regeneration and repair. The mechanism for PRP treatments is not well known, but it is believed that the high concentration of growth factors present in platelets helps to increase cell growth and regeneration. By injecting PRP into the area of the clitoris and upper vagina, these growth factors are concentrated in the areas that need regeneration.

When you arrive for your appointment, our phlebotomist will draw your blood. We will then spin your blood in a centrifuge to separate the PRP from the rest of your blood. This PRP is then drawn up and prepped for injection. We then prep you for the treatment by numbing the area with a localized anesthetic injection. Our highly trained nurse practitioner then injects your PRP into the areas identified as most in need of treatment. Because of the personalized nature of this treatment, the number and placement of the PRP injections can vary per person.

We inject a localized anesthetic before treatment, so there is no pain associated with the PRP injections. There may be some discomfort or pressure associated with the treatment, and you may feel discomfort as the numbing agent wears off.

Every woman is different, and every woman’s needs are different. Generally, significant effects can be felt after only one shot, and additional shots are only needed after the effects of the initial shot begin to wear off.
